Vision
To become an innovative institution by encouraging auspicious and welfare-providing splendid resolutions, knowledge and performances in resonance with the University's motto- Bhadram Bhadram Kratumasmasu Dhehi for the social, cultural, spiritual and educational elevation of the people.
लक्ष्य
- वर्तमान एवं भावी पीढ़ी को गुणवत्तापूर्ण सर्वसमावेशी उच्च शिक्षा की उपलब्धता सुनिश्चित करना।
- मंडलीय भौगोलिक क्षेत्र में अवस्थित सुरम्य वन-कानन की पारिस्थितिकी तथा आर्द्र भूमिखंडों का संरक्षण एवं संवर्धन करना।
- पड़ोसी देश नेपाल से सामाजिक, सांस्कृतिक एवं ऐतिहासिक सुदीर्घ अन्योन्याश्रित संबंधों का पुनर्स्थापना करना।
- अदम्य साहसी, पराक्रमी एवं परिश्रमी थारु जनजातीय समुदाय की सामाजिक और सांस्कृतिक विविधता को अक्षुण्ण रखना।

- To re-establish long-standing social, cultural and historical interdependent relations with the neighboring country Nepal.
- To preserve the social and cultural diversity of the indomitable, courageous, valiant and hardworking Tharu tribal community.
- To incorporate Indian knowledge systems in research, teaching and training programmes.
- To develop a transdisciplinary international centre for knowledge and science.
